10 UNCOMMON MUSEUMS AROUND THE WORLD

"10 Uncommon Museums That You Can Ask Yourselves:
"Do Such Museums Really Exist?"

1. Musée des Égouts de Paris (Paris Sewer Museum)

“Paris has beneath it another Paris; a Paris of sewers; which has its streets, its crossroads, its squares, its blind-alleys, its arteries, and its circulation, which is of mire and minus the human form.” (Victor Hugo, Leviathan's Intestine, book II) The Paris Sewer Museum involve the history of the sewers from their initial development by Hugues Aubriot (Aubriot was a capable administrator who built the first sewers in Paris, and strengthened the City's fortifications) provost of Paris in the late 14th century, to their modern structure, which was designed in the 19th century by the engineer Eugène Belgrand (Belgrand's projects remain one of the most extensive urban sewer systems in the world and served as a transitional phase leading to modern wastewater processing.) The museum also details the role of sewer workers and methods of water treatment.

6. Hair Museum Chez Galip

TURKEY!!! Yes, here we go! The Hair Museum of Avanos, in Cappadocia, is definitely a must-see if you’re into bizarre tourist spots. The behind-the-scenes story goes that the museum was started over 30 years ago, when one of Galip’s (owner) friends had to leave Avanos, and he was very sad. To leave him something to remember her by, the woman cut a piece of her hair and gave it to the potter. Since then, the women who visited his place and heard the story gave him a piece of their hair and their complete address. Throughout the years, he has amassed an impressive collection of over 16,000 differently colored locks of hair, from women all around the world. Do you ever think of leaving your hair when leaving a souvenir for someone...?

The Schweine Museum is the largest Pig Museum in the world! The museum has a permanent display and changing special exhibitions. The collection includes more than 50,000 exhibits and is spread across a total of 27 themed rooms. The first that come to our mind are: George Orwell's "Animal Farm" and Hayao Miyazaki's unique work "Porco Rosso". It would be stunning if the museum collaborated with Hayao Miyazaki for Porco Rosso! If such a thing happens, invite us to the opening of the exhibition :)

(You can adapt it to whatever day you read it) You ordered a delicious meal or cooked that delicious meal that you had in mind since last night , looking for something to watch while you eat it... A TV series? Definitely not... So how about the movie? We already know that it will not end at the same time as the meal - it never progresses in sync, but we should not give up trying - we still made a list. Many movies and documentaries are waiting for you, from those who drink tea with Mussolini to the most famous museums of the world! Here is your list of films and documentaries about art and museums that you must watch : MUSEO (MUSEUM) (2018) Directed by: Alonso Ruizpalacios Starring: Gael García Bernal, Leonardo Ortizgris, Simon Russell Beale, Lynn Gilmartin, Alfredo Cas

NEW TYPES OF MUSEUMS NOT ACCEPTABLE BY ACADEMICS: POP-UP MUSEUMS AND NFT MUSEUM

One of our museologist academics who also contributed to the construction of many museums and one of the active names in ICOM, stated that she never thought of Pop-Up museums in the category of museums and refused to teach about them within the scope of master's program courses. She doesn't even mention NFT and museums anyway. Do you think that academics' rejection of a type of museum category is reason enough to ignore that type of museum? Of course not. We started talking like Graham Hancock in the Ancient Apocalypse series . Why might some museum categories have difficulty gaining acceptance? What depends on the acceptance of a museum's genre? Based on the data, we mentioned that there are over 104,000 museums in the world. This number is increasing and there are various categories of museums in the world. Do you know the types and categories of museums? Even if you knew by now, new types of museums are still emerging, for example, have you ever heard of the worl

SUSTAINABILITY IMPACT IN SPORT AND CULTURAL TOURISM: FIFA MUSEUM AND FIFA WORLD CUP 2022

Hyundai Motor Company today opened the FIFA Museum in Doha, Qatar. Sport tourism can be defined simply as travel to a destination to experience sport. It is leisure-based tourism that takes people temporarily outside their home environment to participate in or watch physical activities or venerate attractions associated with physical activities (Gibson, 1998). Sport is unifying. It evokes many emotions in people. Therefore, it has always been able to maintain its importance. Sport in general, and major sport events in particular, have a special role to play in supporting sustainability. Building venues and infrastructure, gathering hundreds of thousands of people from all corners of the globe, accommodating and feeding them has an inherent environmental impact. Whilst the footprint is hard to determine quantitatively over an extended period of time, according to official figures, the FIFA World Cups in South Africa in 2010 and Brazil in 2014 generated close to 2.8 millions tons of CO2e
